Village Farm is an elegant Georgian Farm House (built about 1790) full of great charm and character situated in the picturesque country village of Newton-on-Ouse. It retains many of the original features including fire places, oak beams and low ceilings. Village Farm has been carefully restored, decorated and furnished to reflect its age.

Country Village FarmThe house has a proud and warm ambience, enhanced by the furnishing and many pieces of antique furniture. Step back in time and admire the period features whilst enjoying the modern amenities which the accommodation provides.

We think, Village Farm is the ultimate in luxury. Its wonderful location in beautiful countryside is perfect for a quiet getaway. Yet York is only eight miles. The village pubs have roaring log fires and real winter food to keep you warm for those walks along the river. The seasons bring their own appeal; on those cold crisp days we drop everything to enjoy a long walk in the countryside. As the seasons change the pleasure is no less.

Your hosts - David and Yvonne are no strangers to welcoming guests into their home, having owned the award winning Bronte Guest house in York for some ten years. We retain our conviction of ensuring our guests enjoy their stay and want to return. Village Farm has given us so much pleasure we want to share it with people who enjoy a little indulgence and deserve accommodation of such a high standard.

A winters view near Village FarmThe rooms differ in style and each is named after some of the early owners of Beningbrough Hall all having en suite facilities and enjoy views over the garden and across the Cherry tree lined Avenue. They are enhanced by delightful bed linen and curtains, many pictures of our family, some going back four generations and other small details to add that little decadence to your stay. Wake to the chime of the traditional church clock whose restful toll complements the sound of the many and diverse songs of nature.

Village Farm offers Bed and Breakfast with a difference. As we have lived in Yorkshire most of our lives, we are able to help plan your stay to ensure you don't miss those hidden treasures. We can suggest places to eat from the quirky to the Michelin restaurants.

A walk down by the river, newton on ouseParking your car can often be difficult in the City B and B's, as can the noise, but we can guarantee you will not encounter any of these problems.
